At Westwind... can relax and chill out and take life at an easy pace but if you want to, you
can participate, as most residents do, in any of the numerous activities and
functions in both clubhouses.  Here are a few you can choose from:
Shuffleboard, arts and crafts, card games ...bridge, poker, rummykub, cycling,
golf, and of course,  BINGO (one night a week in each clubhouse).
And there is a Westwind League with 10 teams of enthusiastic bowlers competing
at the local Dunedin ten pin bowling lanes each week.

The local area is renowned for its golf courses, beaches, nature trails, parks,
fishing, sailing and kayaking, arts and craft festivals and of course lots and lots
of department stores in nearby shopping malls and plazas with many ‘outlet’
fashion stores.
In and around Dunedin there are many theaters, cinemas, museums and an
abundance of gourmet restaurants and dining places.
Adjacent to the Park entrance you can join the ‘Pinellas Trail’.... a safe dedicated
walking, jogging and cycle path which starts at Tarpon Springs (the Sponge
diving capital of the US, 7 miles to the north) and winds it’s way to St
Petersburg, a total length of 37 miles.
We are approx. a 35 minute drive to Tampa International Airport, and a few
minutes more to the Port of Tampa from where many cruise ships leave for 3,4,5
or 7 day cruises.
Busch Gardens theme park, the Florida State Fairground, Hard Rock Casino,
and Tampa Bay Downs Racetrack, are all less than an hour’s drive.
